Tom Moody Preaching Scholarship Fund

The Tom Moody Preaching Scholarship is the prime source of funds to help young adults attend the National Festival of Young Preachers. Your gift of $100, or $400, or even $1000 will help some Young Preacher from Minnesota, Texas, Georgia, or even Massachusetts attend the Festival this year.

The Tom Moody Preaching Scholarship was established in 2013 following the death at the age of 90 of George Thomas Moody. Rev. Moody was the father of AoP Founder Dwight A. Moody.

Tom Moody loved Jesus and delighted in his association with Christian people, many of whom he had introduced to Jesus himself. How it happened that he left a promising career in public school teaching and entered gospel work remains a mystery.  He served three churches: Ashland Avenue Baptist in Lexington, First Baptist in Murray, and Florissant Valley Baptist in St. Louis.
