The 2018 National Festival of Young Preachers was a great success! Approximately 110 Young Preachers attended the Festival in Atlanta, Georgia, which will also host the 2019 National Festival.

All Young Preachers delivered a sermon from the Psalms, using the Festival theme “Worship the Lord.” All the sermons can be seen on our YouTube channel here. Young Preachers were grouped into Preaching Circles where they created new connections and encouraged each other in their preaching under the leadership of a Gospel Catalyst.

The National Festival featured Master Classes on a variety of topics taught by a cadre of distinguished leaders, ministers, and thought leaders. Master Class subjects included mentoring for ministry, womanist preaching, the theology of hymns, and more. For the first time, Master Classes were recorded and are now available for you to watch! Click here to watch the videos and experience a piece of the festival for yourself.

We were blessed to have several gifted special speakers for our plenary sessions. Preachers included AoP Alumni Molly Shoulta Tucker AoP ’11 and Reginald Sharpe AoP ‘10, Truett graduate and former lawyer Daniel Headrick, William Turner of Duke Divinity, and a special sermon preached by both former AoP President Dwight Moody and current AoP President Ernest A. Brooks, III. Those sermons can be seen here.

We are currently preparing for the 2019 Festival. Watch out for details regarding location and registration on our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter).
