The Festival of Young Preachers in January will feature three nationally-known preachers. Earlier we announced that New York pastor Brad Braxton (of the famed Riverside Church) will speak on Friday night, January 8th. Now, we are delighted to announce that Kyle Idleman will be the keynote preacher on Thursday night, January 7th.
Kyle is Teaching Minister at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky. He is one of two regular preachers for a congregation that attracts 18,000 people to worship on an average weekend. It is one of the five largest churches in the United States.
Kyle is a graduate of Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri. He has been married for 14 years and has four children. He is 33 years old.
Before coming to Louisville a few years ago, Kyle planted a church in Los Angeles. He has also well known for his work with City on a Hill Productions to create and produce the video curriculum, “H2O: A Journey of Faith” and “The Easter Experience.”
There is yet one more plenary speaker to be secured. An invitation has been send and we are awaiting confirmation. Speakers are selected to reflect the diversity of style and substance that is a compelling feature of all of the programs and projects of the Academy of Preachers.
Make sure you register for the Festival by the deadline: October 1, 2009
